The Dino's are coming!!!

This inspiration for this concept really comes from my son's love of dinosaurs.  The dinosaur pictured is the first one produced on our CNC router.  Made from 3/4 MDF board, this Tyrannosaurus Rex will be the premier dinosaur in our upcoming collection.  Dinos will be available in MDF, Baltic Birch, Cedar, Pine and Oak to start.

Original Tyannosaurus Rex Facts:

Order:  Saurischia
Suborder:  Theropoda
Infraorder:  Carnosauria
Family:  Tyrannosauridae
Genus: Tyrannosaurus
Species:  Tyrannosaurus Rex

Close Relatives:

Tarbosaurus and Albertosaurus (Gorgosaurus)
Length:  39-40 feet (12 meters)
Height:  About 18.5 feet (5.6 meters)
Weight: 6 to 8 tons (about 5.44 to 7.26 metric tons)

The Mighty 'T'

Made originally in 6 pieces (1-Body, 2-Legs, 2-Arms & 1-Bottom Jaw), the upcoming versions will have different leg attachments (peg inserts), but still in keeping the legs moveable for play.  The mouth will most likely change as well in that it will probably not be provided separately as now (you have to glue the current version's mouth on), but it does make for a nice jaw line and adjustable mouth opening.  When standing as pictured above, the T-Rex measures approx. 12" long x 8" high and is just under 2" wide at the legs.

This really is a nice toy for a child who likes dinosaurs, it is one that they can put together with an adult, and add their own touch by painting or staining it to their color desire.  I am not sure, but I think this one will end up gold or blue if my son has his own preference. Another advantage to the dinos is that the parts can easily be replaced if broken or destroyed; we will endeavor to carry pieces for all dinos just in case the unthinkable occurs.

I will post more dino's here as the product line progresses, send me some email and I will get you pricing etc... as well as what is currently on the drawing board.  As well, I will attempt to provide interesting facts about each creature as we put them online.
